Kitchen Update: Appliances In

 I thought I would just drop in and give you all a little kitchen update. 

We had a very productive last few days. 

We got a taste for how our kitchen would look like with countertops when our countertop guy came to make sure the template will fit. 

But then....he took it away, so we are hanging out without countertops again.

But...some other exciting things were brought in to make us happy in their absence.

APPLIANCES!

Like a diamond necklace on a classic white black dress!

When I bought the stainless steel fridge, I was excited because I thought that stainless steel fridges aren't magnetic, which meant no more junk on the fridge....but I was wrong and the fridge is already littered with magnets and pictures....and I thought my life was going to get less cluttered...WRONG! haha

Oh well, it makes the space feel homey again anyway!

We are very close to moving in as well...hopefully by Monday evening. 

We made up this list of things that we needed to accomplish before we move in. Most can be checked off the list (with the help of my mom who cleaned like a mad woman)

To Do List Before We Move In

• Finish touching up and painting trim {DONE}
• Sweep and mop floors {DONE}
• Relegate construction materials to the garage {DONE}
• Wipe down and vacuum all surfaces {DONE...well almost, Benj's room needs a cleaning}
• Move back the couches {DONE}
• Reassemble the dining room {DONE}
• Pick up and install the fridge {DONE...but not without problems. We had to take off the front door and the doors from the fridge itself to get it through the door....that was fun in the wind!}
• Install Countertops
• Move all our clothes and stuff back to our house

We technically could have moved back tonight but we thought it would be best to wean my parents off of my kids and vice versa. haha After 5 weeks, they've kind of become attached to each other. 

Hopefully I can give you a full reveal next week.....Eeeeek!!
